We're setting up an IPv6 Honeypot on our new network and will be using Snort + v6 Geotracing to see the distribution of where attacks are coming from. More to follow as we get our IPv6 cybersecurity lab up and running.
David Green, Director of Netcentric Technology Development at QinetiQ Technology Solutions Group, provides senior technical leadership on Internet-optimized product design, next-generation Internet (IPv6) integration, and cyber-security. Throughout his career he has researched applications for applying emerging network technologies to real world operational problems. At his previous job as VP of R&D at Command Information, David led the R&D team that architected the “Assure6” IPv6 network intrusion prevention system, and authored security and acquisitions guidance for DISA’s DoD IPv6 Transition Office (DITO). Before joining Command, David was a site manager for SRI International and directed SRI’s C4ISR R&D team that primarily supported the Army, DISA, and DARPA in areas relating to extending Internet technology to the forward edge of the battlefield, Internet security, and next-gen networks (IPv6). David is the author of the DISA Information Standards Registry “DoD Profile for IPv6 Capable Products” and the DoD “IP Security (IPSEC) Profile for IPv6”. David is a former US Army Officer, holds a MS in Computer Science, and a Top Secret clearance.
